Mrs. Ada Mae Ward, age 92 of Nathalie, passed away at her residence on Saturday, January 29, 2022. She was born on January 3, 1930, to the late James and Nora Lovelace Tucker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chris Walter Ward; seven brother,s and four sisters.

She is survived by four sons, Chris Ward, Jr., Curtis Ward (Judy), and Wayne Ward, all of Nathalie, and Jesse Ward of Richmond; three daughters, Gloria Ward of the home, Bertha Colson (Joseph) of Spring Lake, NC and Queen Ward Slaughter (Tony) of Lynchburg; eighteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Inez Bradshaw of Aton, VA; devoted friend, Mrs. Corrine Hubbard of Nathalie; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
