Obituary

Alease "Ann" Haskins, age 82 of Phenix, passed away on March 21, 2026 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Deacon Walter and Rosa Bell White Jackson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Haskins Jr; six sisters, Maude Boyd, Marjorie Boyd, Ruby Mae Graham, Katherine Patterson, all of New York, Ruth and Mary of Charlotte Court House; and three brothers, Edward Jackson of Phenix, VA, Elijah Jackson (Pud), and Willard Jackson, of New York; and niece, Velma Jackson..

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her son, Haywood Haskins (Natasha) of Pamplin, Virginia; her daughter, Jean Lockett of the home; and her grandson, Roger L. Lockett Jr. (Katelyn) of Charlotte Court House, Virginia; she also leaves behind, Murphy Wheeler, a nephew she raised as her own beloved son; a special nephew, Michael P. Jackson of Phenix, Virginia; special nieces, Linda and Bernice "Bunny"; sisters-in-law, Mary St. John, Evelyn Harvey, Maxine Lyle, and Sherri Jackson; brother-in-law, Jeremiah "Jerry" Haskins;  and her devoted caregivers, Debreta, Georgia, Nenna, and Jessica; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
