He will be remembered for his love for people, answering the phone with "Jesus loves you ", jail ministry, fishing, meat processor for Schrock's Slaughter House which he opened in the '70s, building storage sheds, and taking eggs to market. He enjoyed gatherings with his family and prayed often "for the entire family " He was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Susie; children, Edward, Paul (Carol), Lydia (Robbie Yoder), Mark (Jennifer), and Titus, all of Gladys, Barbara Yoder (Delvin) of Rustburg, Janie (James Martin) of PA, Esther Schrock of Catlett, VA, Jacob Nisly (Felicia) of SC, Curt Nisly (Mary), Sheila Whitney, Dedra Thomas, all of IN, Quinton Nisly (Christie) Fl; three brothers; six sisters; forty-four grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and grandpa to many more.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Bethel Mennonite Gym. Graveside service at 2:00 pm Friday, November 13, 2020, at Bethel Mennonite cemetery, 5946 Brookneal Hwy, Gladys.
