Mrs. Annie Bea Barbour, age 80 of Nathalie, passed away on January 6, 2024 in South Boston.  She was the daughter of the late Mr. Charlie Barbour and Mrs. Ethel Walker Barbour.  She was married to Mr. Melvin James Barbour.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers,  Joe Louis Barbour, Thomas Barbour, Lenwood Barbour;, and one sister, Geneva Barbour Lewis.

Those left to with happy memories are her husband, Melvin James Barbour; her children, Gloria Oakes of Nathalie, Va., Stoney Barbour of Altavista, Va., Vanesia Barbour of Greensboro NC., and James Tracy (Dora) Barbour of Martinsville VA; her grandchildren, Krystal (Kenny) Callaway, Paris Oakes, Dion (Kiara) Lacks, Sharena Lacks, Quinton Jones, Kiara Waller, Breajuah Carter, Thaddius (Gladys) Barbour and Timothy Grasty; eight great grandchildren from ages two months- 15 years old; sisters, Dorothy Jones, Hildred Lawson, Florine (William) Venable, and Lillian Ann Barbour; two brothers, Walter Barbour and James A (Barbara) Barbour; and a host of other relatives and friends.
