Mrs. Augusta Spraggins, age 68 of Nathalie, passed away on January 8, 2021, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Mr. William McKinley Rice and Mrs. Dollie Mae Younger Rice.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine Watkins; one brother, William Robert Rice.

She is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Whitt Allen Spraggins; two children, Regina Spraggins of Nathalie and Lakisha Spraggins of Oxon Hill, MD; one granddaughter, Aliyah Andrews of Nathalie and one life-long granddaughter, Danyelle Hankins of South Boston;  four lovely sisters, Odell Slayton, JoAnn Jennings (Willie), both of Nathalie, Mildred Slayton of Long Island and Emma Waller of Alexandria; two brothers, Kermit Rice of Prince George, and Barry Rice of Nathalie; four sisters-in-law,  Diane Younger and Doris Davis of Nathalie, Janice Rice of Stone Mountain, GA and Lona Younger of Naruna; one brother-in-law, Macy Younger of Nathalie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
