Mrs. Barbara Ann Broggin, age 73 of Phenix, passed away on September 5, 2021 in Bastian, Virginia.  She was born on April 17, 1948 to the late Mr. Leon Anderson and Mrs. Rosa Pruitt Anderson.  She was the widow of the late Mr. Jessie Wilson Broggin.

She leaves behind three daughters, Priscilla Anderson of South Carolina, Barbara Jean Broggin, and Alex (Gina) Broggin, all of Phenix, Va.; four sons, Jesse Broggin of Brookneal, Va., James (Elaine) Broggin of Lynchburg, Va., Dwight (Tammy) Broggin of Phenix. Va., and Gary (Cheryl) Broggin of Brookneal, Va.; a devoted boyfriend, Mr. Columbia Harris (Toeboy) of Phenix, Va.; six grandchildren whom she reared, Kieshundra Pollard, Christopher Broggin, Quanika Broggin,  Alexis Broggin, Courtney Broggin and Savion Broggin; twenty grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; thirteen step great grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; two special friends, Ms. Lois Tucker and Mrs. Ollie Bell Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
