Mrs. Barbara Ann Jones, age 60 of Nathalie, passed away on May 21, 2022 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Walter Owen Dunkley, Sr. and Emma Coleman Dunkley.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son, Alonzo Lee Jones, Jr.; a great-grandson, Waverly Wade; four brothers, Charlie Dunkley, James Dunkley, Walter Dunkley, Jr., and John Dunkley; and two sisters, Emma Dunkley Payne and Rosetta Dunkley Scott.

She is survived by her husband, Alonzo "Lonnie" Lee Jones, Sr., of the home; two daughters, Emma Roberts (Leon) of Drakes Branch, VA and Samantha Jones (Robert Hardy) of Nathalie, VA; one son, Joseph T. Jones (Nora Castillo), of the home; two granddaughters, Shaquasia Lawson and Ra'Niya Hardy of Nathalie, VA; one great-granddaughter, Sauconie Wade of Nathalie, VA; one brother, Joe Lewis Dunkley; five brothers-in-law, Edward, Joseph H. and Alvin Jones, all of Nathalie, VA, Roy Hill and Wayne Coles of South Boston, VA; eight sisters-in-law, Joann Davis of Brookneal, VA, Adell Clements (David), Barbara Dunkley, Juanita Miller (Leon), Brenda Barksdale (Robert), Rhonda Dabbs (Roger), Catherine Dunkley and Frances Dunkley, all of Nathalie, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
