Barbara Pugh, age 67 departed this life on February 6, 2024, at the Wayland Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center in Keysville, VA.  She was born in Charlotte Court House, Virginia on September 21, 1956 to late Susie Pugh and Bob Pugh.

Barbara was a caring, fun and loving person. Her humble and cheerful spirit touched everyone who knew her, and her friendly smile, and kind heart will never be forgotten.

She was a member of Beautiful Plain Baptist church and attended until her health began to fail. She graduated from Randolph Henry High School. She continued her training in nursing and graduated from a nursing assistant program. She was employed as a private duty nurse aide and at several nursing homes including Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Shaun Pugh; and sister, Vanessa Gaines.

She is survived by her dearest friend and cousin, Phyllis Willoughby; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, and family who she loved dearly.

Although we are saddened by our loss, we hold onto the countless precious memories of Barbara, which will help us through the challenging times to come.
