Mrs. Beatrice Morgan Herndon, age 82 of Gladys, died on Monday, December 28, 2015 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Champ Morgan, Sr. and Mrs. Fannie Morgan and the wife of the late Mr. George Kelly Herndon.

She is survived by two children, Jacqueline Cook (Terry), and Gregory Herndon, all of Gladys; three foster children, Gregory Miller (Janette) of Waldorf, MD, James Word (Cloris) of Rustburg, and Tyrone Word of Alexandria; two brothers, Joseph Morgan (Nettie) of Gladys, and Freddie Lovelace of Maryland; five sisters-in-law, Julie Morgan of New Jersey, Gladys Brown of Lynchburg, Shirley Herndon of New York, Judy Fore of Gladys, and Alma Herndon of Georgia; two brothers-in-law, Orlander Herndon (Ivy) and Marshall Charlton, all of Gladys; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
