Benjamin Franklin Palmer, age 72 of Gladys, passed away on November 6, 2024 at his residence. He was the son of the late Strattin Lee Palmer and Josephine  McIvor Palmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Teon L. Harvey; two sisters, Augusta M. Payne, Patricia A. Palmer; and nephew, Tracey Clark.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannette Palmer; his children, Constance Johnson (Tim) of Gladys, Reanette Bradley (Jason) and NIcole Bradley, both of Brookneal; ten grandchildren, Alexis Palmer, Rashawn Stevens, Amonte Bradley, Kylil and Jayonna Crews, Tequan Stephens, Chasity, Latavia, Shamar and Shakur Harvey; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara J. Tines of Cullen, and Velma L. Clark (Earl) of Charlotte Court House; five brothers, Aurthur L. Palmer, Melvin Palmer (Deloris), both of Lynchburg, Shelton L. Palmer, Samuel M. Palmer (Onnie), both of Naruna, and Calvin Palmer (Gayzelle) of Gladys; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
