Bennie Lloyd Adams Jr. age 60 of Gladys, well known as "Squeaky" by family & friends, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on August 26, 1963 to the late Bennie Lloyd Adams, Sr. and Frances Alberta Callaham Adams.
Squeaky joined Evergreen Baptist Church at an early age. He was a graduate of William Campbell High School, Class of 1981. Squeaky entered the workforce at the age of sixteen and worked until his health declined. He spent the last 17 years employed at Aerofin Corporation in Lynchburg, VA.
He had a love for music, football (Redskins), and most of all, having a good time with family and friends. If you ever crossed paths with Squeaky, he was always smiling and always willing to give a helping hand.
In addition to his parents, Bennie was preceded in death by in-laws, James & Joyce St. John;, brothers-in-law, Johnnie & William St. John; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Jackson.
Left to cherish his memory, his wife, Barbara Adams of Naruna, VA; his children, Favia St. John of Naruna, VA, Jermey Hancock of Gretna, VA, Andrena Hancock of Lynchburg, VA, Baron Adams (Tichina) of Rustburg, VA, Brandon Adams (Chasity) of Brookneal, VA, and a child he loved as if she was his own, Tawala Waller of Lynchburg, VA; twelve grandchildren, Lamont, Khailah, Nehki, Emoni, CamRon, Braylon, Sa'Niyah, Kimora, Ki'Myah, Emberleigh, and Braxton; and one great-grandchild Y'viyah; seven sisters-in-law, Joyce St. John of Richmond, VA, Linda St. John, Ruby Burford (Wayne), and Mattie St. John all of Naruna, VA, Maxine Lewis (Anthony) of Brookneal, VA, Eleanor Elliott (Hansey) of Concord, VA, and Hazel Broggin of Lynchburg, VA; four aunts, Corrine Walker, Charity Yuille (McKinley), and Ella Adams, all of Naruna, and Virginia Adams of Nathalie; two uncles, Ralph Adams (Bernice) of Naruna, and Leon Adams of Lynchburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A very special Thank You to Mattie St. John for her unconditional love and support during our time of need.
