Bernard Edward Taylor, Jr., age 69 was the first child born to the late Bernard E. Taylor, Sr. and Lillian Pugh Taylor. He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Terra Lynn Taylor, and brothers, Thomas A. Taylor, and Michael R. Payne Sr.

He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Iris Cabler Taylor of the residence; a daughter, Monica McDaniel (Thomas) of Gladys, VA; three sons, Bernard Sam Taylor (Bernida) of Brookneal, VA, Donovan Taylor of Altavista, VA, and Brandon Taylor (Allison) of Evington, VA; a goddaughter, Jessica Scott of Nathalie, VA; two grandsons, Darrius O. Cabler (Justis) of Altavista, VA, and Devin D. Taylor of Evington, VA; great grandson, Kyrie O. Cabler; one sister, Delilah Bradley (Albert) of Altavista, VA; one brother, Jermaine Robinson (Britnay) of Front Royal, VA; one sister-in-law, Jernine Dillard of Gladys, VA; friends who were close to his heart, Simmuel (Tim) Williams, Joshua Adams, and Albert Taylor, Jr., among others; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
