Mrs. Betty P. Rogers, age 94, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 31, 2021, in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Audrey B. Petty. She was the loving wife of the late Benny C. Rogers for almost 70 years.

Betty grew up in Buchanan and raised her family in Clifton Forge.  She and her family moved to Brookneal in 1971. She retired from Campbell County as senior coordinator for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, planning numerous activities and trips. She was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. She had a passion for flowers and gardening and was a longtime member of the Red Hill Garden Club and the Brookneal Woman's Club. Betty was a Charter Member Of the Red Hill Garden Club. She was awarded a Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs Life  Membership.  Betty was an Honorary Member of the GFWC Brookneal Woman's Club.

She is survived by three sons, Allen Rogers and wife, Debbie of Clifton Forge; Douglas Rogers and wife, Jan of Rustburg; and David Rogers and wife, Kathy of Roanoke; one daughter, Carol Holt, and husband, Bruce of Clinton, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brian Rogers (Allison), Derek Rogers (Angie), Kelly Tabor (Christian), Justin Rogers (Ashley), and Jordan Longendorf (John); great-grandchildren, Blake and Brandon Rogers; Meghan and Ethan Tabor; Noah, Micah, and Addison Rogers; Logan Longendorf; and Jacob Rogers.   She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeremy Rogers.

A funeral service with social distancing with required masks will be held at 12 pm on Friday, February 5, 2021, in Pate Chapel at Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Virginia, by the Reverend Jonathan Falwell.   Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Buchanan, Virginia.
