Ms. Beulah Mae Dabney, affectionately known as "Tillie" age 86 of Altavista, passed away on March 31, 2024 in Richmond.  She was the daughter of the late Mr. Houston Dews and Mrs. Martha Calloway Dews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wilbur Dews, Johnny Dews, Kevin Dews, Houston Dews, Jr., and James Dews ; two sons, James "Pete" Moorman and Sherman "Chuckie" Moorman.

Beulah leaves to cherish her memory a devoted companion, Leonard Canada of Altavista; daughter, Martha Ann Moorman (Michael) of Huntsville, Alabama; nine grandchildren; sister, Josephine Anthony of Altavista; brother, David Dews of Washington, DC; sisters-in-law, Mary Dews, Yvette Dews and Margo Dews, all of Washington, DC; daughter-in-law, Tricia Moorman of Altavista; a devoted friend, Gracie Calloway of Hampton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
