Mr. Buddy Lee Montgomery, Jr. age 73 of Gladys, passed away on August 24, 2021, in Lynchburg. He was the son of the late Mr. Buddy Lee Montgomery, Sr. and Mrs. Avis Cornelia Jones Montgomery.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Sue Miller Montgomery; son, Jamie Lee Montgomery; brother, Eilish Montgomery; brothers-in-law, L. B. Mann, and Rufus Dickerson.
He is survived by his children, Stephanie Fannon (Greg) of Nathalie, Brian Montgomery (Susi), Billy Montgomery (Candace) and Dustin Montgomery (Stacey), all of Brookneal, and Nikita Smith (Smitti) of Gladys; thirteen grandchildren, Laura Abdelslam (Max), Dylan Brown (Gabbie), Coby Smith, Ivan Montgomery, Bradyn Montgomery, Sage Montgomery, Saylor Montgomery, all of Brookneal, Leland Fannon (Ashton) of Rustburg, Christian Ward ( Rachel) of Roanoke, Taylor Keyes ( Ivan), Cody Roberts, Jaydon Smith, and JoHanna Smith, all of Gladys; great-grandchildren, Maddy, Kinley, Lil Matt, Autumn, Luna and Avery; sisters, Hattie Layne (Paul), Naomi Hailey (Dewey), and Geneva Mann, all of Lynchburg, and Alsie Dickerson of Brookneal; brothers-in-law, C. W. Miller of San Jose, and Clifford Miller, Jr. of San Jose; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Marcil, Faye Marcil (Ray), Ellen Salas (Mike) and Dale Rice, all of San Jose and Darnell LeBlanc of Gladys; and a host of other relatives and friends.
