Mrs. Carolyn Rollins Carter, age 71 formerly of Brookneal, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in Oxxon Hill, MD. She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Roosevelt Rollins and the granddaughter of the late Sallie and David Walker. Mrs. Carter was a graduate of the William Campbell High School Class of 1959. She is survived by her husband, George David Carter of the home; two daughters, Carol Bernadette Saunders (Robert) and Rosalind Burnett-Wiggins (Michael), all of MD; three sisters, Margaret Diane Hayden, Susan Payne and Loretha Rollins; three brothers Theodore Roosevelt Rollins, Jr., Carl Stephenson Rollins, and Ritchie Rollins; three grandchildren, Lauren Saunders, Michael Burnett, and Shannon Wiggins; one great-grandchild Carter McKailyn Burnett; a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 24, at National Church of God, 6700 Bock Road, Fort Washington, MD from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. The interment will be held in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, MD.
