Carolyn Dianne Elam, age 69, of Brookneal, VA passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at her residence.

She was the wife of Linwood Elam; and the daughter of the late Bertha Gaines and James Moss.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Rita Gaines.

She is survived by: her husband, Linwood; one daughter,  Latisha Elam ; three sons,  Erik (Bethany), Marco (Aisha) and Mario; six sisters, Brenda Pannell, Rachel Gaines, Connie Gaines, Robinette Asher (Toby) all of Brookneal, Linda Elam of New Jersey and Ruth Elam of Cumberland; two brothers, Roland Gaines of Charlotte Court House and Ronnie Gaines (Gloria) of Brookneal; fourteen grandchildren, MaKiyra, Travion, Ja'Liyah, Parris, Perry, Samara, Aunisty, Emariyon, Diamond, Jamario, Isaiah, Shaquita, Natasha and Jamonte; twelve great grandchildren; godson, Rashaan Elam; devoted friends, Anette Bates and Marquita Baker; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
