Ms. Carolyn Linda Vaughan, age 71 of Merherrin, passed away on April 9, 2022 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Deacon James Henry Vaughan and Deaconess Dorothy Gertrude Shepperson Vaughan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Thelma Moore; niece, Carol Ellis; nephew, Timothy Gary; and her former, Pastor Reverend Otis Spellman, whom she loved dearly.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her legacy of service to her three sisters, Dorothy McLourine, Helen Gary, and Cleo Streat; one brother, Dennis  Vaughan (Clarissa); two nieces, Kathy Gary and Lortoria Vaughan; two nephews, Anthony Bailore and Kevin Streat (Coretta); two great-nephews, Deon Ellis and Malachi Bailore; two great-nieces, Brianna Ellis and Janeese Bailore; and many relatives and friends.
