Carroll Lindsay Cheatham, age 81 of Concord, passed away on March 4, 2024 at his residence. He was the son of the late Lillian Cheatham Hill.  He was married to Piperlynn Thornton Cheatham.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his stepfather Frank Hill, Sr., brother Frank Hill, Jr.; sisters, Mary Hill Woods, Virginia Cheatham Watkins, Carrie Elliotte; son, Carroll V. Cheatham; and the second love of his life, his daughter, Monica Cheatham.

In addition to his devoted wife of 52 years,  he leaves to cherish his memories two devoted daughters; Andrea Adams of Lynchburg, VA and Valanche Cheatham of Concord, VA; four sisters, Marcia (Charles) Ferguson of Appomattox, VA, Edith Dews of Brookneal, VA, Delores Hamlett of Lynchburg, VA, and Ellen (Kenny) Hancock of Concord, VA; two brothers, Thomas (Eleanor) Elliotte and Huffmon (Jackie) Elliott; a sister-in-law, Mary Elliotte of Brookneal, VA; three grandchildren, Corduro Elliotte of Lynchburg, VA, Warren and Elaina Cheatham of Concord, VA; two great grandchildren, Censir Megginson of Appomattox, VA and A'veyan Cheatham of Concord, VA; three little boys whom he opened his heart to, Jahsir and Za'Mario Perez and Kanelo Martin all of the home. Two devoted cousins Benjamin (Benny) Cheatham and Sherwyn Pringle. He and Benny farmed together and Benny checked on him every day and did anything for him that he could. Sherwyn Pringle, who when she came in would go straight to him and say "How you Mr. Darryl" and he responded "howdy doodie I'm doing fairly well" and helped in any way she could. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
