Mr. Charles Broggin, age 60 of Brookneal, passed away on April 23, 2022 in Lynchburg. He was the son of the late John Thomas Broggin and Sarah Elizabeth Coleman Broggin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his oldest sister, Florence Jackson; youngest brother, David Broggin; and the mother of his children, Josephine Pannell.

He leaves to cherish his memory eight children, Jimmie Pannell (Angelia), Tyissha Pannell and Jamel Pannell, all of Lynchburg, Dwayne Pannell of Brookneal, Christopher Pannell (Jennifer) of Rustburg, Kimberly Pannell of Gladys and Charles Pannell, both of Gladys, and Virginia Pannell (RG) of Lula, GA;  twelve grandchildren, La'Darius, Delanee, Kamrius, Carson, Calvin, Kacee, Colby, Josie, Ja'Zyiah, Jazmyne, Jamel, Jr. and Keyshira; eight sisters, Hazel Broggin of Madison Heights, Rose Venable (Earl) of Phenix, Bessie Broggin of Gladys, Tessie Younger and Georgia Broggin of Brookneal, Delores Broggin (Earl), Deatrice Broggin and Ondria Broggin, all of Lynchburg; six brothers, Franklin Broggin of Harrisburg, PA, Warren Broggin (Celia) of Lynchburg, John Broggin, Jr., Larry Broggin (Florence), Jasper Broggin, and Richard Broggin (Annette), all of Brookneal; and a faithful companion, Denise Wheeler; and a host of other relatives and friends.
