Charles Edward Davis, age 79 of Washington, DC, passed away on February 3, 2024 in Washington, DC. He was born on December 23, 1944 to the late Charlie Bob Davis and Marie Eloise Cook Davis in Roanoke, Virginia.

He attended the Roanoke City Schools before moving to Washington, DC, where he resided for over 40 years. He worked in construction before retiring.

Charles was a giving person. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. His pastimes including sports, especially football. His daughter will miss his phone tails every day.

He preceded in death by three brothers and one sister, Benjamin Cook, Russell Davis, Harold Davis, and Eneva Cotton.

He is survived by one son, Ceasar Brooks of Washington, DC; one daughter, Lakina Hale (Michael) of Roanoke; two sisters, Shirley Harrison and Martha Baxter; and one brother, Jimmy Davis, all of Roanoke; and host of other relatives and friends.
