Mr. Charles Edward Garner, age 81 of Nathalie, died on January 27, 2020 in South Boston. He was the son of the late Mr. John Edward Garner and Mrs. Irene Rice Garner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. JoeAnn Johnson Garner; sister, Flossierene Britton; and brother, Ernest Garner.

He is survived by two daughters, Wandra Graves (Michael) of Nathalie and Matilda Martin (James) of South Boston; one granddaughter, Lavica Chandler (Brian) of South Boston; three great grandchildren, Jasauni Chandler, Israel Chandler and Reign Chandler; a sister, Linda Waller (Louis) of Nathalie; four sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, devoted cousins and friends.
