Charles Lewis Shrewsberry, age 68 of Brookneal, Virginia, passed away quietly at his home on June 14, 2026. He was the son of the late Lewis, Shrewsberry and Sadie Biggs Shrewsberry.  

Charles was a herdsman/farmer by trade. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Shrewsberry and Sadie Biggs Shrewsberry; and sister, Mary K. Rhea.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Shrewsberry; his daughter, Melissa Shrewsberry, his son, Matthew Shrewsberry (Tristin) and their three children, Elizabeth, Matthew, Jr. and Alexander, all of Brookneal, Virginia; brothers, Harvey Shrewsberry, Robert Shrewsberry, Raymond Shrewsberry (Barbara), William “Keith” Shrewsberry (Mary); sisters, Dorothy Cardwell and Betty Guszman; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Charles will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
