Mr. Charles Sylvester Carr, age 65 of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on September 13, 2026 at his residence. He was the son of the late Henry Moses Carr and Lucy Willie Younger Carr.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of 48 years, Linda Carr of the residence and one devoted daughter, Tonya Carr of Portsmouth, VA; five sisters: Bessie Mae Bland of Lawrenceville, VA, Evelyn Waller of Altavista, VA, Molly (John) Pena of Washington, DC, Eva Lynn (Michael) Hawkes of Fredericksburg, VA, and Myra (Edward) Garrett of Chesterfield, VA; six brothers: William Carr of McDonough, GA, Joseph (Sadie) Carr and Harold (Deloys) Carr both of Nathalie, VA, Jesse Carr of Altavista, VA , and Aronto Carr and James “JE” Davis of Nathalie, VA; three sisters-in-law: Marie (Lacy) Tune and Susan Tune of Nathalie, VA, and Kay Clark of Woodbridge, VA; one brother-in-law: Jackie Clark of Fredericksburg, VA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure his love.
