On Friday evening, October 23, 2020, the Lord dispatched his angels and summoned our loving father the king, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend from labor to reward. Charlie Miller, Sr.'s work on earth is done and his race has been won.

He was born on October 24, 1943 to the late Mr. Willie and Mrs. Annie Hamm Miller. He was educated in the Pittsylvania County School System and retired from Yeatts Transfer in Altavista, Virginia.

He loved the Lord, his church, and he loved people unconditionally. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved his lawnmowers, collecting and making unique things.

He was a member of Miracle Revival Church under the leadership of Bishop Donnell Johnson where he was the lead guitar player for the senior choir for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Charlie Miller, Jr. (Charlie Boy) and Barry Dean Miller; two sisters, Shirley Logan and Elnore Moore; one brother, James Miller; and one brother-in-law, William Arthur Hubbard.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Adell Miller of Gretna; three daughters, Faye Pannell of Gretna, Dianne McKenzie (Eric) of Chatham, and Linda Miller of Blairs; god-daughter, Nikea "Pinky" Stone (Ryland); eleven grandchildren, Brian Miller, Tasha Miller, Crystal Tucker, Samantha Tucker, Neco Tucker, NaTiya Hunt, Charity Miller, Chantel Miller, Ke'Shawna Miller, Shanice Miller, and Elianna Nowlin; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Hubbard of Long Island; home health caregivers, daughter, Linda Miller, niece, Tamika Hubbard, and Debbie of Centra Health Hospice; and many other relatives and friends.
