Mr. Chester Arthur Smith of Charlotte Court House passed away on April 25, 2023 in Richmond, Virginia.  He was the son of the late Henry and Daisy Wilkes Smith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Henry and Leon.

He is survived by his wife, Constance Spencer Smith; one brother, Reginald James Smith and three  sisters, Christine Smith, Gracie Reed (James) and Dianne Smith;  a devoted friend, who was like a brother, Carlton Vaughan; three step children, Ashley Spencer, Andrew Spencer and Alexander Spencer; four sisters-in-law, Tanya Spencer (Willie), Corliss Scott (Ray) Debbie Spencer and Thelma Spencer; a brother-in-law, Carroll Spencer; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
