Mr. Christopher James Nowlin, age 36 of Evington, died on April 3, 2018 at his residence. He was the son of Mr. James Nowlin and Mrs. Dianne Dews Poindexter. He was the husband of Mrs. Julie Ann Nowlin of Evington.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julie Ann Nowlin of Evington; four children, Tavian Nowlin, Najah Nowlin, Jasmyn Gordon, and Jaelie Smith, all of Evington; one sister, Temika N. Younger of Lynchburg; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. Paul and Mrs. JoAnn Gordon of Roanoke;  brothers-in-law, James Younger of Lynchburg and Seth Gordon of Roanoke; devoted cousins, Shavon Watts of Richmond, and Rashoun Watts of Evington,; devoted aunt, Cindy Watts; devoted uncle, Roy Watts; niece, Desiree Younger; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel Grove Baptist Church in Evington with interment in the Patrick/Morgan Family Cemetery in Gladys. Public viewing will begin Friday, April 6th from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m.
