Mrs. Connie Mae Payne Herndon, age 79 of Long Island, passed away on November 4, 2022 in Lynchburg. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Payne and Mary Pearl Hall Payne.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her only beloved son, Andre' Herndon; sister, Madeline Hurbert; and brother, McKinley Hall.

She leaves to mourn her a devoted nephew, Darrell Hall; a devoted god-daughter and care provider, Felicia West; devoted cousins, Irene Clark, Lulu Boyd, Sailor Hall and Ida Payne, and Joseph Hall; sisters-in-law, Juanita Hall, Jane James (Frank), Patricia Gray (Larry), Delnora Johnson (Thomas), Allie Herndon, Elaine Herndon, and Brodie Herndon; brothers-in-law, Norman Herndon and Calvin Herndon (Gloria); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
