Curtis Julius Garrett, age 34 of Chesterfield, Virginia, passed away on February 16, 2026 in Richmond, Virginia. He was the son of Edward Curtis Garrett, Jr. and Myra Carr Garrett.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Henry Moss Carr and Willie Lucy Younger Carr.

He is survived by his parents, Edward Curtis Garrett, Jr. and Myra Carr Garrett of Chesterfield, VA; brother, Edward (Trey) Curtis Garrett, III (Roslyn) and niece, Parker Rose Garrett of Suffolk, VA; paternal grandparents, Edward Curtis Garrett, Sr. and Elnora Williams Garrett of Nathalie, VA; aunts and uncles, Valerie Garrett, Denise (Jerome) Jones, Kim (Richard) Hunter, Bessie Mae Bland, William R. Carr, Joseph (Sadie) Carr, Harold (Deloys) Carr, Jesse Carr, Evelyn Carr Waller, Aronto Carr, Molly (John) Pena, Lynn (Michael) Carr-Hawkes, Charles "Pete" (Linda) Carr, and James "JE" Davis; and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and friends.
