Curtis Dwayne McDaniel, age 59 of Gladys, Virginia, passed away on February 5, 2026 at Atrium Wake Forest Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  He was born on October 1, 1966 to the late John L. McDaniel and the late Patricia B. Irby.

He is survived by his one son, Adam J. McDaniel of Brookneal; one brother, Malcolm McDaniel, (April) of Brookneal; two nephews, John M. McDaniel (Desiree) of Lynchburg and Jacob A. McDaniel of Lynchburg; aunt, Dana Barksdale of Brookneal; and numerous cousins and friends.

A memorial service date will be announced later.
