Darrell Lewis DeJarnette, 60, passed away at his home in Lynchburg on June 19, 2023.  He was born on September 2, 1962, in Norfolk, Virginia, son of the late George C. DeJarnette, Sr. and Iris H. Power.

In addition to this father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Power and George DeJarnette, Jr., and significant other, Patricia Christian.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by significant other, Shane Hubbard; brother, Steven DeJarnette; sisters, Janet Booth (Michael), Kathy Power, Jennifer Messina (Chad), and Rebecca Rigaud (Chris), as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Darrell or "Tiny" as he was known to family and friends, loved life and lived it with joy while fishing on the Staunton River, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, or watching NASCAR.  His smile and laugh will be greatly missed.
