Mr. David Gene Broggin, age 57 of Brookneal, passed away on August 18, 2021, in Richmond. He was the son of the late John Thomas Broggin and Sarah Elizabeth Coleman Broggin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Florence Jackson.

He is survived by his lifetime companion, Patricia Pannell; his son, Jason Pannell (Clintina) of Brookneal; eight sisters, Rose Venable (Earl) of Phenix, Hazel Broggin, Delores Broggin ( Earl), Deatrice Broggin, and Ondria Broggin, all of Lynchburg, Bessie Broggin of Gladys, Tessie Younger of Rustburg, and Georgia Broggin of Brookneal; seven brothers, Frank Broggin of Harrisburg, PA, Richard Broggin (Annette), Larry Broggin (Florence), Jasper Broggin, and Charles Broggin, all of Brookneal, Warren Broggin (Celia) of Lynchburg and John Thomas Broggin, Jr. of Red House; four grandchildren, Jakavias, Jashard, Julius and Jasonie; and a host of other relatives and friends.
