Mr. David Hilton Hicks or "DayDay", age 70 of Charlotte Court House departed this life into eternal rest on Wednesday June 2, 2021 in Lynchburg.  He was born November 1, 1950 to the late Mr. Willie Lee Hicks and Mrs. Mary Johnson Hicks.  Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Charlie  Johnson and Wilson Wilborne and one sister, Anne C. Perry.

He leaves to cherish his memories, seven siblings,  William (Ligaya) of Waddell, AZ, Hilda of New York City, Mary H. Spencer (Thomas), John and Edward, Sr., all of Charlotte Court House, and Roger (Christine) and LaTanya, all of Richmond, VA; a devoted fiancé, Alda Dorita Booth; sister-in-law, Magdalene Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a dear, dear friend, Ms. Myrtle Wilson.
