Debbie Winn Allen Finley, 67, passed away Saturday, November 25,  2023. Originally from Lynchburg, Debbie lived several decades in Florida and Georgia before returning home to Virginia in 2006.

Debbie spent the better part of her life battling mental illness, which sadly left her estranged from her family for many years.  Although she battled internally she still was able to establish a prison pen-pal ministry that she valued deeply and hopefully helped to shine light in the darkest of places.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Winn Powell Allen and is survived by her four children: Christopher, Laurie (Chad), Michael (Jessica) and Matthew as well as  twelve grandchildren that she never really got to know or experience; Kaleb, Nathan, Brayden, Grant, Isabelle, Ryanne, Luca, Jack, Ella, Ava, Layla and Noah.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in her honor to Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center, 150 Linden Ave., Lynchburg, VA 24503.
