Mrs. Diane Clark Smith, age 58 of Brookneal, passed away on November 29, 2024 at her residence.  She was the wife of Rev. John Smith and the daughter of Mr. Richard H. Clark and the late Mrs. Mary Skates Clark.

Diane was preceded in death by her mother, Mary A Clark; sister, Brenda Clark-Smith; and grandparents, Fred and Rosa Clark and Edward and Myrtie Skates.

Diane is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, Pastor John Smith; loving children, Dominique Smith and Nicole Reid (Andre); grandchildren, whom she adored, Na'Jayla White and Nehemiah White; father, Richard Clark; siblings, Leslie Clark (Debreta), Charles Clark (Patricia) and Robert Clark; uncles, Earl Clark (Velma), Dewey Bolling and Stanley Skates (Jeanette); aunts, Minnie Clark, Dora Rose, Lucille Hancock, Cheryl Skates, Gloria Ghoston, Margaret Skates, Dorothy Booth (Leroy), Cora Pannell, Elaine Clark and Mary Ferrell; mother-in-law, Ollie Smith; sisters-in law, Virginia Brogden, Katie Gaines, Anna Yuille, Barbara Garrett (Van), Mary Reggans (Kevin) and Denise Smith-Perry; brothers-in law, Roger Smith (Tammy), Michael Smith and Thomas Smith; a devoted cousin, Iris Allen; devoted friends, Dorothy Miller and Delilah Cato and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
