Mrs. Dorothy Irean Hall Reid, age 77 of Altavista, passed away on July 4, 2021, in Lynchburg. She was the daughter of the late Emma Hall.

She is survived by her three children, Laura Childress (David), Sharon Hamlet (Joe) and James Reid; four grandchildren, Letitia Childress, David Keon Childress, Jamel Davis, and Sharkia Davis; twelve great-grandchildren; devoted friends, Michelle Tanner and Kelly Callaway; special friend, Jerry Tucker.
