Mrs. Dorothy Mae Marshall White, age 79 passed away on March 11, 2024 in South Hill, Virginia. She was born on May 18, 1944, to the late Emma White. She was adopted by the late Booker T. Marshall and Dorothy Mae Marshall.

Mrs. Dorothy better known as "Dot" married Walter W. White, Sr. and from that union one child was born, Walter W. White, Jr., whom both preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one grandson, William Travis White (Katie) of Victoria, Virginia; two sisters-in-law, Rose White and Flora White, both of Charlotte Court House; special cousin, Brenda Jones of Lynchburg, special and devoted cousin, David Jones (Hester) of Lawrenceville, Virginia, special and dedicated niece, Selene Lillie Shuford (Cyrus) of Charlotte Court House; her forever friends, Jane Eagle of Keysville, Brenda McBride of Skipwith, Joanne Perkins of Keysville, Dickie Gunther (Hollywood) of Keysville, Lucille Pollard of Chase City, Virginia Caroline Long of Chase City, Jennifer Smith-Palmer of Red Oak, Faith Pillow Kerr of Pennsylvania, Connie Clements of Keysville; her dog, Ellie Mae; and a host of other family and friends.
