Douglas Alan Bain, passed away at the age 51 on August 27, 2022 at Guggenheimer Nursing home in Lynchburg, VA.  Douglas was born in Webster, SD to Fred E. Bain and Barbra Braun Bain on October 16, 1970.

Douglas grew up in Webster, SD in his parents' restaurant and hotel. He was very well known for his shenanigans in his hometown. Doug worked construction for a large portion of his life. In his final years, Doug moved to Virginia but frequently traveled the states delivering pets and enjoying the road.

Douglas enjoyed fishing, boats, traveling, playing keno, watching wrestling, and playing Runescape. He was known to help those in need in whatever little way he could. Those closest to him describe Douglas as kind, selfless, caring man who "would do absolutely anything for anyone, even if he had nothing".

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents; and his step daughter.

He is survived by one son and one daughter, Christopher Bain and Ashley Bain; seven siblings, Dick Pfeiffer, Katherine Pfeiffer, Brian Bain, Kent Bain, Brenda Harvey, Gordon Bain, and Gary Bain; three grandchildren, Bentley, Harmony an Sofia; three step-grandchildren, Malaki, Nikoli, and Jazmyne; and a host of other relatives and friends.
