Mr. Douglas Dean Neighbors, age 66 of Brookneal, passed away on November 11, 2021, in Lynchburg.  He was the son of the late Lee Roy Neighbors, Sr., and Myrtle Doris Mawyer Neighbors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shelby East.

He is survived by his children, Dean Allen Neighbors of Fayetteville, NC and Stacy Lynn Neighbors of South Boston; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Judy Ward, Patricia Wilson (Bossy), Wanda Crews (Jimmy), all of Brookneal; brother, Lee Roy Neighbors, Jr. of Rustburg; one aunt, June Mosbrook (Guy); one uncle, Arthur J. Neighbors (Andrea); special loving friend, Laura Triplett; and a host of other relatives and friends.
