Mr. Earlie Dale Burks, also known as "Bro.", age 68 of Rustburg, departed this life on December 21, 2020 at his residence.  He was the son of the late Mr. James R. Burks, Jr. and Mrs. Cora Ann Poe Burks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters,  Lorease Poe and Earline Younger (Roy Sr.); a brother, Arthur L. Burks; father-in-law, Roosevelt Walker, niece, Patricia Younger, and nephew, Roy Younger, Jr.

He leavers to mourn, his wife, Celestine Burks; one son, Torrance Burks, Sr. (Katina) ; one daughter, Lakeshia Burks (Stanford); two granddaughters, Kayren Burks and Alexis Burks; one grandson, Torrance Burks, Jr., all of Rustburg; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Corrine Walker of Gladys; one brother, Robert Burks, Sr. (Edith)  of Rustburg; one sister, Queen Jackson of Rustburg; one great grandson, Jussiah Wilson; a goddaughter, Whitney Mitchell; three sisters-in-law, Irene Martin (Karl), Connie Walker (Irvin), and Vivian Moore (William); four brothers-in-law, Ronnie Walker, Vincent Walker, Emmanuel Walker (Karen), and William Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
