Mrs. Edna Williams Snell, age 86 of Lynchburg, formerly of Appomattox, passed away on November 3, 2020 in Lynchburg.She was the daughter of the late Mr. Rankin and Mrs. Madeline Williams.

She was preceded in death by her faithful husband of fifty years, Mr. Nathan M. Snell; siblings, Robert Lewis, Herman Phillip, and Rose Marie; granddaughters; Carmella Fortier and Ashley Marie Coles; daughter-in-law, Patricia Snell; sons-in-law, Lacy Atkinson and Raymond Ferguson; brother-in-law, Kenneth Tucker.

Edna leaves to cherish her memories six children, Michael Snell (Patricia) of Guam, Madeline Atkinson of Lynchburg, VA, Nathan Snell of Hampton, VA, Ellen Trent (Remus) of Lynchburg, VA, Janice Coles (Calvin) of Concord, VA, and Anthony Snell (Jacqueline) of Smyrna, GA; two godsons, Charles Walker and Kent Williams; eleven grandchildren, Lamont, Nathalie, Erica, Michael, Jr., Natsha, Carlita, Raymond, Robert, Aaron, Andrew, and Keanon; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three brothers, James Williams of Lynchburg, VA, Thurman Williams (Loretta) and Lloyd  Williams (Bettye), both of Appomattox, VA; two sisters, Edythe Tucker of Jamaica, NY and Sally Walker (Robert) of Pamplin, VA, and two sisters-in-law, Edna Rose of Lynchburg, VA and Brenda Williams of Upper Darby, PA.; devoted friends, Margaret Lampkin and Mary Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors,  relatives and friends.
