Edward Charles Bailey, age 89 of Pamplin, passed away on May, 5, 2025 in Lynchburg. He was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Edwards-Bailey.

Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Isabella Bailey; parents, Joseph and Mary E. Bailey; his son, Joe Brian Bailey; three sisters, Mrs. Elnora Edwards, Mrs. Josephine Johnson, Mrs. Anna David; and one brother, Mr. Johnnie Bailey.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two devoted and loving sons, Antonio Bailey (Stacy) of Hampton, VA and James Walker of Petersburg, VA; four devoted and loving daughters, Ms. Joyce Bailey of Pamplin, VA, Ms. Catherine Iwuji of Redhouse, VA, Ms. Sharon Bailey of Lynchburg, VA, and Ms. Garlene Williams of Milwaukee, WI; one sister, Mrs. Mary Goldman of Cullen, VA; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a goddaughter, Raynita Walker of Pamplin, VA; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Shirley Wheeler of Pamplin, VA; and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends. He also had a special relationship with his nephews, Mr. Woodrow Jackson of Pamplin VA, Mr. John Bailey of Lynchburg VA and Mr. Philip Goldman of Cullen VA.
