Edward McClinton Lyte, Jr., age 75, of Brookneal, passed away on February 24, 2025, in Lynchburg.  He was the son of the late Mr. Edward McClinton Lyte, Sr. and  Mrs. Annie Pannell Lyte.

He leaves two sisters to mourn his loss, Maxine Davis of Rustburg, VA and Frances Moorman of Gladys, VA; four nieces, Pamela Williams of Glen Burnie, MD, Marvena Lockett (Roger) of Gladys, VA, Genise Barnes (Rhoderick Sr.) of Elkridge, MD, and Kendra Williams (Shawnta) of Lynchburg VA; five great nephews, Cordell Moorman (Lauren) of Gladys, VA, James Williams, Jr. of Glen Burnie, MD, Charles Thompson Jr., Rhoderick Barnes Jr., of Elkridge, MD, and Jamari Williams of Lynchburg, VA; and a host of cousins, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, and many devoted friends.
