Elizabeth Porter Gilliam, age 63 of Brookneal, passed away on July 13, 2025 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late George Washington Porter, Sr. and Alice Arlene Davis Porter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jerome Gilliam; brother, Henry; honorary brother, Lee; sister-in-law, Bettie, brothers-in-law, Tracy, Robert, Leon, and Mitchell.

She is survived by her children, Dianna (Peter) of Brookneal, Damien (Lisa) of Brookneal and Delilah (Olatian) of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, De'landra (Max), Deanna, Yasmin, Gabrielle, Ethan; honorary grandsons, Jeremiah and Josiah; siblings, Ruby, Anna (widow of Mitchell), Mable, Mattie (widow of Robert), Eugene (Diane), George (Charla), and Dave; honorary brother, Willie; second mother in heart and spirit and Lula Mae Gilliam; sisters-in-law, Bonnie, Linda (widow of Leon), Peggie, Maude, Hazel, Janie; brother-in-law, Jessie (Delma); best friend, Roylene Coleman of Pioneer, California; and a host of other relatives and friends.
