Mrs. Elizabeth Roark Johnson, age 73, of Gladys, Virginia, entered into peaceful rest on July 24, 2026, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on September 2, 1952, she was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. Hugh Elliotte Roark, Sr. and Mrs. Gladys Rosser Roark. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Roark, Sr., and her nephew, Kenny Roark.

Elizabeth worked for many years as a dedicated Wal‑Mart Associate. She was known for her gentle nature and her deep affection for cats, finding joy in watching their playful antics each day.

For more than three years, Elizabeth faced cancer with remarkable courage. Though the battle was difficult, she never allowed the disease to diminish her spirit, her kindness, or her quiet strength.

She is survived by her loving husband and special caregiver, Mr. Roy Lee Johnson; her brothers, Hugh Roark, Jr. and David Roark; her sister‑in‑law, Camy (Gene) Shipp; her brother‑in‑law, Billy (Clara) Johnson; and her nieces and nephews: Teresa (Dino) Newton, Heather (Bobby) Jones, Becky Roark, Jeremy Roark, Kelly (Josh) Bell, and Keshia Shipp. She is also lovingly remembered by a special niece, Tammy Roark, along with a host of extended family members and friends.
