Emogene Anthony Mayberry, age  88 of Gladys, passed away on December 8, 2023 in Lynchburg. She was born in Bushnell, North Carolina to the late Wesley William Anthony and Ruby Brooks Anthony.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Mayberry; sons, Richard Allen Mayberry, Donald Mayberry; daughter, Diane Boyle;  brothers, Winfred Anthony, Gerald Anthony, Lyle Anthony, Larry Anthony, John Anthony, and Steve Anthony; and sister, Linda A. Burns.

She is survived by one son, Ronald Allen Mayberry; four grandchildren, Monique Graham. Sean Mayberry, Joshua Mayberry and Russell Mayberry; several great grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Moore of Warrenton, Virginia, Sherry Johnson (Michie) of Bedford, Lana Conner of Manassas Park, Virginia; brother, Terry Anthony (Jessica) of Madison Heights, Virginia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
