Etta Geraldine Seymore Cook of Saxe, Virginia was born September 20, 1945 to the late Arthur and Irene Richardson Seymore. She entered eternal rest peacefully on May 11, 2023 in North Carolina at the Ashton Health Rehabilitation Center.
Etta began her education in the Charlotte County school system and later graduated from Southside Community College. She worked in the health care profession for many years. She was baptized at an early age and became a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. Later, she became a member of the Beautiful Plain Baptist Church where she joined the senior choir. A family gospel group was established and she also became a member. Etta was known to be very loving and caring and was loved by so many.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Floyd Cook, Jr. of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Stacey Cook (Jacqueline) of Victoria, Kenneth Cook (Ana) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Christopher Cook, Sr. (Charell) of Lynchburg, Faith Cook ( Bryant) of Whitsett, North Carolina, and Kendra Coleman (Marcus) of Burkeville; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Michael Seymore (Ruby) of Norton, Virginia; sisters-in-law, Gracie Stovall and Irene Easley; brother-in-law, John Cook (Charbeth); and a host of nieces, nephews and devoted friends
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Cook, Sr.; brothers, George and John Seymore; daughter, Tracey Cook; and grandson, Mack Lee lll.
