On Wednesday, May 13, 2020, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt, Florence Delois Hargrove went home to be with the Lord.  She was born on September 22, 1937 to the late Mr. George Clark and Mrs. Gracie Clark in Brookneal, Virginia.

Florence attended schools in Campbell County.  She was a member of Green Springs Baptist Church in Brookneal.

In 1956, she welcomed her first son, Grayling Clark with Hurbert McIvor of Brookneal and in 1958, she welcomed her second child, Toni Clark with Ennice Harvey of Brookneal.  In 1962, she relocated to Montclair, NJ where she met her husband, George A. Hargrove and to this union, three children were born.

Florence was affectionately known as "SHUGGA" by her grandkids, Brandon and Brian Thomas, sons of Toni Clark and Sylvester Thomas, Savon Weeks, son of Kaneatha Harvey and Cory Weeks, Tylee and Teyah Bradshaw, children of Georgette and Jermaine Bradshaw, Deante' Moore, son of Kaneatha and TJ Harvey, Elle Hargrove, daughter of Elliott and Cynthia Hargrove, Temisha Rose, Jermaine Tucker, Dre'quan Tucker and her great grandkids, Jada Thomas, daughter of Brandon Thomas and Jasmine Brown, and Brian Thomas, Jr. and Taylor Thomas, Children of Brian Thomas and Sarah Clark.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Retha Stallings; sisters, Marie Wilkes, Viola Clark, Carrie Dutches Clark, Ellabee Pannell, Ida Mae Adams, Flossie Queen Greene; brothers, Claude Clark, Maxie Clark and Ralph Clark and a close friend, Bruce Simms.

She leaves to cherish precious memories, her children, Grayling Clark, Toni Clark, Georgette Hargrove-Bradshaw (Jermaine), Kaneatha Hargrove-Harvey (TJ), Elliott Hargrove (Cynthia) and Shirley Borden; grandchildren; great grandchildren; dear friends, Josephine Wilder, Hank Tucker, and Sylvester Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
