Franklin Edward “Eddie” Austin, age 68 of Nathalie, passed away on May 4, 2026, in Lynchburg, Virginia. He was born on October 9, 1957 to the late James Edward Austin and Marie Fisher Austin.

Eddie was the owner of Austin Excavating Land & Timber LLC which began in 2005. During his spare time, he enjoyed flying his helicopter, hunting, and restoring classic cars. His pride and joy was a black 1955 Chevrolet Sedan.

He is survived by his aunt, Jane Roark of Nathalie, Virginia; and a host of cousins and friends.
