Mr. Gary Darnell Boyd, age 57 of Roxboro, North Carolina, passed away at Duke Medical Hospital on Sunday, March 26, 2023. He was the son of Henry and Angeline Boyd.

He joined the Shiloh Baptist Church. He was married to Ann Boyd and two children were born, Destin Boyd and Justin Boyd.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Logan.

He is survived by two sons, Destin Boyd of Raleigh Durham, North Carolina, and Justin Boyd of Chase City; five grandchildren, Eligha Boyd of St. Thomas, Kobe Boyd of Nathalie, Adyen Noell of Lynchburg, Kennedy and Karentyn of Danville; two brothers, Claude Boyd (Sally) of Nathalie and Larry Boyd (Fannie) of Brookneal; five sisters, Bessie Johnson of Detroit, Gloris Miller of Cody, Dorothy Davis (Willis) of Nathalie, Nita Boyd and Tracey Clark, both of South Boston; one close friend, Michelle Barkins of Roxboro, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at Mrs. Ann Boyd's home at 1:00 on Sunday, April 2, 2023.

A memorial service will held at a later date.
